Matt Markis, D.O.

Dr. Robert Feeley calabasas ca psychiatrist

Dr. Markis believes that everyone deserves a caring, competent psychiatrist regardless of their struggles, and helping those in difficult times is what led him to pursue a career in psychiatry. He believes adequate treatment often involves more than just medication management, and incorporates different therapeutic strategies including cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive therapy, motivational interviewing and psychoeducation. Pursuing psychiatric care can be a difficult challenge for many people, and Dr. Markis has committed himself to providing quality individualized treatment in a friendly, non-judgmental manner. Dr. Markis enjoys working collaboratively with his patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment in order to achieve their goals.

Building Common Goals

“The most enjoyable aspect of psychiatry for me is working collaboratively with my patients and working toward a common goal. Having previously worked in the business/entertainment industry, I gained valuable experience in a world outside of medicine. Society is changing and evolving faster than ever, which has affected people of all ages. I have seen this change over the years and the impact it has had on individuals and families.”

Empowering Patients

“I enjoy working with teens and adults, and have particular interest in treating depression, anxiety, ADHD and PTSD. I have also pursued an interest in treating those with traumatic brain injury and have always liked working with athletes. I am a strong advocate of psychotherapy, incorporating motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive psychotherapy into my treatment planning as well.”
