ADHD Test for Children and Adults

Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, is characterized by problems with attention, organization, concentration and impulse control. Calabasas Behavioral Health offers The Quotient® ADHD Test, which provides objective data for the assessment of ADHD.

Common ADHD Symptoms

ADHD has three main aspects: inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Other symptoms include excessive procrastination and chronic forgetfulness, difficulty beginning or completing tasks or projects, as well as having problems with time management. ADHD can often appear like other conditions: reaction to a life stressor, a learning disorder, anxiety or depression. ADHD Testing provides a clear diagnosis to ensure the best treatment options.

When talk therapy is needed, our providers will employ the approach that resonates most deeply with you. Often, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, or acceptance commitment therapy is the right solution. Some patients may also require medications for treatment.

ADHD in Adolescents

ADHD symptoms in teenagers often express as anxiety, depression and substance abuse. A marked change in home, social and school functioning are significant indications of a possible ADHD diagnosis, oppositional defiant disorder or conduct disorder. An ADHD Test determines the diagnosis.
